Teranos (the human world) and Sylvaca (the realm of the three magics: witch, shaman, and shapeshifter) are separated by Inaé’s Veil, which only a Portal Keeper can open. The last of them, Morei Gan, lived nearly 2,000 years ago before a new Portal Keeper was born.
Summary :
Gaspard, the son of a beta, is often harassed by the young members of his community due to his inability to transform. His difference forces him to spend his time alone, far from others. Then, at age 10, he meets a young sorcerer.
Nao comes from Sylvaca, a world parallel to that of humans, Teranos, which is separated by the Inaé veil. He is the first to cross it since the tragic disappearance of the last portal keeper, Morei Gan, centuries ago. Nao reveals to him that he is searching for the holder of Morei Gan's soul.
Due to differences in magical and lunar vibrations, he is bound by strict time limits during his incursions into the human world. Despite this, each time he crosses over, he can’t help but spend a few hours with Gaspard.
And what was bound to happen… happened.
This is not a story of revenge or truths but of a promise.

This first book introduces the world of the Three Magics (TriMagic) and sets the stage. We will meet the main characters, Gaspard and Nao. They are young at the beginning of the book, and as the story unfolds, we will see them grow.
We will understand why Gaspard cannot transform and what he will become. This volume provides some answers regarding the clan war—the one that led to the death of Morei Gan, the last known Portal Keeper. Although I touch on this subtly, I only skim the surface to avoid getting sidetracked.
We will meet secondary characters and the key clans to know. To avoid spoilers, the most important takeaway is that the Myrd and Gales clans are the most powerful, with the last of their lineage being Charles Myrd and Olivier Gales on Téranos.
Kelly, a young shaman, is a character we will meet in the second volume (which directly follows the first). Unaware of the magical world, he discovers it while growing up alongside Gaspard. He plays a significant role in the events to come.
While the first book remains gentle, the future is dark. The Portal Keeper is only a small victory.
Just to clarify—there will be MPREG in Gaspard’s storyline later on (in his life, though I’m not yet sure in which volume).
